Rockville Centre invited to enjoy day of fishy fun

A festival planned for the Rockville Centre area will introduce youngsters to the art of angling.

The whole family can enjoy the 2020 Fall Family Freshwater Fishing Festival, and with both fly and casting styles included in the day, it will be a learning opportunity for both new and experienced fishers to learn. The activities included will have a fall flair, and local fishing clubs have been invited to get involved as well.

The agenda for the day includes a variety of stations that will be set up around both South Pond and MacDonald Pond, and these include casting for pumpkins and pumpkin decorating. Fly fishing instruction and demos will be on offer, and loaner rods will be available for as long as supplies last. Kids can enjoy the live entertainment and going for a spin on the giant inflatable slide, and refreshments can be purchased on site.

A number of local fishing groups will be participating in this year's festival. Printers can supply organizations that take part in this type of activity with an assortment of themed Promotional Products for them to hand out to the crowd.

This day of fishy fun will be taking place in Hempstead Lake State Park on October 17. It will be open to visitors from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
