Fans of Eddie Money will be excited to learn that a musical has been made about the singer and his rise to stardom.
Opening at the Madison Theatre in Rockville Centre, New York, ‘Two Tickets To Paradise’ follows the life of Eddie Mahoney, who began his career as a police officer after being raised in a blue-collar family. He fought to follow his dream of become a rock star and eventually became the man we now know as Eddie Money.
The play is directed by John Blenn, a Long Island native, and features a full array of Broadway dancers and performers. Money's touring band will perform the music for the show, which features seven new songs as well as all the classics that fans will be familiar with. Money wrote the play himself, and he will provide the voice of the narrator throughout the course of the performance.
Organizers for this event may need printing companies to help them create programs for the event. As well as letting the audience read background information about the show and the performers, programs help producers by generating some advertising space.
There will be five performances of the show, the first one being this Friday, January 16, at 8:00 pm. Tickets range in cost from $30 to $40, depending on seating. The Madison Theatre is located on the Molloy College campus.
