Rockville Centre fundraisers to get a close shave

A Rockville Centre event will both raise funds and show young warriors that their whole community stands behind them.

The RVC St. Baldrick’s Foundation will be taking aim at childhood cancer when it hosts its hairy fundraiser this March. Those who would like to get involved can opt to have their head shaved or ponytail chopped off, and everyone can cheer them on while they do it.

The three-hour-long activity will see fundraisers get their hair shaved or cut, and while they do, there will be live music and other entertainment. Inspirational speakers will take to the podium, and there will be food and drinks available for purchase. Everyone can try their luck in the raffle draw, and all ages are welcome. The monies raised will support research into pediatric cancers for what is one of the largest supporters of finding a cure for these diseases.

Anyone who would like to have their hair shaved or cut, or who would like to make a donation, can register to do this on the event’s website. Stationery printers can prepare certificates that thank those who support a cause, and these can include its Logo Design and other branding.

This day in support of pediatric cancer research will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 23 at 20 Quealy Place.
