Oktoberfest celebrations are a popular tradition in many communities, and one on Long Island has planned an event that will welcome the fall season in high style.
Rockville Centre residents are invited to be among the crowd at the annual Seaford Oktoberfest, which will boast lots to see and do. It is being offered thanks to the efforts of the Seaford Chamber of Commerce, and there will be activities for all ages.
The festivities will see food trucks rolling in, and in honor of the occasion, each will have at least one German-themed menu item. Local vendors have been invited to participate, and the attendees can shop for crafts, clothing and other handmade items. Face painting will be available for the kids, and the first 100 children to arrive will be able to paint a pumpkin to take home. Along with all of this, an assortment of beers will be on tap.
Themed events may call for special decor, and a banner printing company will be able to help. It can produce these decor items in a vanity of sizes and styles, including one that may be used over and over.
Seaford will be kicking off autumn with its Oktoberfest community party on October 1st. The venue for the celebration will be 1933 Jackson Avenue and everyone is invited to come out and help make it an occasion to remember.
