Pet parents and professionals in the companion animal field alike may both benefit from a workshop that will welcome learners near Rockville Centre.
The class that is on the way for the area will cover first aid and CPR for dogs and cats, and the skills shared can be invaluable in an emergency. Continuing education credits may be awarded, and each successful participant will be certified for two years.
The workshop will cover a variety of first aid situations that can impact a pet, and these include scenarios such as being hit by a car or having a seizure. During the CPR section of the short course, the attendees will learn what to do if their companion animal stops breathing. Bleeding, poisoning, choking and other emergencies will all be discussed, and the activity can accommodate pet owners as well as groomers, pet sitters, trainers, and other professionals who work with cats or dogs.
To help make a positive impact in the community, the organizers explained that a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to PetSafe Coalition. Tickets start at $85.00 each. Training manuals and other learning materials for a workshop or class can be crafted by Stationery printers.
This opportunity to pick up available skills is scheduled for September 14th at 3300 Beltagh Avenue in Wantagh. It will start at 11:00 am.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
