Rockville Centre afternoon to put fun in fundraising

A Rockville Centre celebration is set to offer kids battling cancer a helping hand.

A foundation that raises money to help fund pediatric cancer research through grants and other measures has organized a family fun fair, and there will be activities for all ages. It will run throughout the afternoon on the scheduled date, and the support of the community will be greatly appreciated.

The plans for the occasion include food and beverages, entertainment, and raffle draws. To show solidarity for kids going through chemotherapy, members of the public can sign up to have their ponytail chopped off or their whole head shaved, and monetary donations will also be appreciated. A bake sale is in the works, and anyone who would like to prepare some treats to donate to the cause is encouraged to do so.

A call has gone out to area businesses that would like to get involved in a community event. The planners are accepting donations of Promotional Products or other gifts in kind to use as door prizes or for the raffles. They may be reached at 516-697-6383 by anyone who would like to lend their support to the day.

The RVC St. Baldrick’s Foundation will be welcoming the public for this fun-filled afternoon on March 25. It is scheduled to take place at 29 Quealy Place.
