Quality-focused fair planned for shift in seasons

For the 23rd year in a row, Nassau County Craft Fairs is about to host a fall street fair in Merrick, New York.

The vendors in attendance will be selling unique handmade items at discounted prices. Many of these salespeople are local and emerging vendors and crafters, while others are more known and established names.

Outside of the street fair, families can bring their children to the event to enjoy the attached carnival. Kids can enjoy a variety of festival events aimed to entertain. Additional fees may apply for attending the festival.

Nassau County Craft Fairs was created in 2008 and has since become the most prolific street fair organizer on Long Island. According to the organization’s website, the aim is to make sure that all vendors are top tier, preferring to let a selling spot go empty than fill it with a seller who does not meet the quality desired.

The organization also lists advertising as a perk for vendors, who might turn to printing companies to help them market the event. Flyers distributed in nearby areas like Rockville Centre will no doubt help to bring in more crowds and generate more sales for the vendors.

The event will take place this weekend, starting at 10:00 am and going until 6:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
