Pop culture market planned for this summer

An event that will be “popping” up near Rockville Centre will give culture fans of a variety of genres cause to celebrate, and it will be a one-stop shopping experience.

This will be the first year for Cradle-Con, which is a celebration of pop culture and a fundraiser, all rolled into one. Many local artists, writers and other creators will be on hand to meet with their fans, and while they browse and buy, they will be helping to support the Cradle of Aviation Museum’s exhibits, programming and initiatives.

Tickets for the pop-up market start at $16 for adults and $14 for kids and seniors. This includes admission to the museum, and those who plan on purchasing a pass can opt to add on an arcade session or planetarium show. The list of sellers has more than 18 artists, and there will also be a selection of vendors and other small businesses.

This sort of function may present a valuable opportunity to the participating individuals and companies, and promotional Pens, cloth shopping Totes, and other swag for the occasion can be sourced from a local printer. The Bags will make it easy for the shoppers to carry home their purchases, and if they are printed with the event’s Logo Design, they will also market it to the world every time they are used.

The first ever Cradle-Con will welcome pop culture fans on July 17 and 18 at the museum, which is located on Charles Lindbergh Road in Garden City. Onsite parking is free of charge.
