Island Park to get crafty with its street fairs

This summer, Nassau County Craft Shows are bringing their renowned street fair expertise to Island Park, New York for the town's first annual street fair event.

The fairs provide a unique opportunity for buyers to purchase high quality craft goods directly from artisans and veteran vendors who own local stores. The events are family friendly and suitable for everyone to attend.

Nassau County Craft Shows was first created in 2008 by Alan Finchley, who brought his 32 years of vending experience to the endeavor. His course ‘How To Be a Successful Vendor’ was taught at the State University of New York.

The company can help other organizers evaluate sites for a fair, lay out where the vendors should set-up, and even provide cleanup crews or security.

Promoters for the event might want printing companies to create advertising materials for them, such as poster, Flyers, or Postcards, that they could distribute or hand out in nearby towns like Rockville Centre. This is almost a certain way to generate more interest in the event and encourage more people to attend.

The street fair will take place over the weekend of June 21 and run from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm on both days. Proceeds from the event will benefit the South Central Division of the Long Island Kiwanis Club.
