Fun the order of the day during Fathers Day event

Father’s Day may be some time away, bit Rockville Centre families already have an option for the occasion that will feature some hands-on, high-flying fun.

The Center for Science, Teaching and Learning wishes to celebrate the connection between area dads and their kids, and its “Daddy and Me Rockets!” activity is a chance for them to create some lifelong memories. The adults are reminded to bring their camera so they can take some candid shots of the fun, and the price to participate is $40 per rocket.

The families that attend the function will be building a rocket of their own, and once it is complete, they will be able to launch it skyward. Staff will be on hand to offer assistance and answer any questions from the group at what tends to be a popular program.

The Center for Science, Teaching and Learning has scheduled this annual Father's day function for June 21. The doors will open for the day at 10:00 am, and the activity will wind up at 1:00 pm. It is located at 1450 Tanglewood Road, and the hands-on learning is designed for all ages.
