Donating blood gives everyone a chance to be an everyday hero, and New York Blood Center will soon be hosting a drive in Rockville Centre.
Mercy Medical Center will be providing space for a blood donor clinic, and everyone who is able to roll up their sleeve and make a contribution has been asked to do so. The blood collected will be used for treating illnesses and injuries, and may even save someone’s life.
To help make sure the event runs smoothly, the organizers have asked the public to book their timeslot ahead of time. They can expect the process to take about an hour, and both whole blood and automated red cell donations can be made during this activity. Information about the donors will be gathered during the check-in process, and the support of the community for this function is most appreciated.
New York Blood Center explained that even those who cannot give blood can still make a financial contribution. A brochure printing company will be able to provide materials that let each of the supporters of this type of function know how their support will make a difference.
This donation drive will be held on June 8 at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre. Bookings are available from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, and anyone who would like to register is encouraged to visit the host organization’s website.
