The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter is hoping residents of Rockville Centre and other nearby locations will show some holiday spirit by adopting a pet
The shelter’s Home for the Holiday’s pet adoption program is well underway, during which people can come and meet the animals waiting for adoption, and all relative fees will be waived.
Shelter supervisor Kate Murray said:
“There’s no place like home for the holidays, and the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter has many beautiful dogs and cats looking for a loving family to adopt them into their lives.”
Along with the dismissal of fees, the shelter will also be offering several services, like rabies vaccinations, microchipping, and spaying and neutering, at no charge.
Area sponsors for the even include Island Trees Veterinary Hospical in Hicksville, Dog Grooming by Rachel in Bellmere, and Fido Fitness Club in Woodmere, which will offer free items for every pet adopted. No doubt custom printed adoption certificates, Banners, and other signage from local printing companies will also help the cause.
City Councilwoman Erin King Sweeney said:
“There are so many beautiful, adoptable pets available at the shelter. I hope that if your family is considering bringing a new dog or cat into your home during this festive time, you consider adopting before shopping.”
The programme continues until January 3.Get a Free Quote for Banners
