Area event to give Rockville seniors scoop on local activities

Rockville Centre seniors who would like to find out how they can make the most of their “golden years” can take in a local event that will be focused on older adults.

Hosted by Herald Community Newspapers, the Senior Health and Beyond Expo will be all about helping the area’s older residents live long and happy lives. Admission and parking will be free, and there will also be refreshments and a variety of health and other screeners on offer at no cost.

The attendees at the expo will be invited to browse through the assorted vendor displays. There will be lots of door prize draws and other giveaways, and the planners have organized a vendor bingo as well. Live entertainment, including a comedy show, is on the agenda, and goody Bags filled with an assortment of Corporate Gifts will be distributed to the guests for as long as supplies last.

The planners of the event noted that anyone who registers online will be treated to a year-long subscription to whichever Herald Community Newspaper they choose. Each person who attends the celebration will also receive an Xpress coupons summer savings booklet at no charge to them.

This chance for Rockville Centre seniors to get the scoop on what’s on offer for them in their own area will be taking place on August 10. It is set to be held in the Merrick Jewish Center.
