Comtech Telecommunications Corp., headquartered in Melville, recently announced that one of its subsidiaries, Comtech PST Corp., had received an order worth $1.3 million for high-power, solid-state radio frequency (RF) switches.
The switches are used in integrated electronic countermeasures system by the United States military, and the request came from a major American contractor.
According to President and Chief Executive Officer of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., Dr. Stanton Sloane, this is a follow-on order and shows the technical strength of the company in delivering these devices for applications in the military, and the continuing need for the company’s high-power RF switch products.
Comtech PST Corp. supplies high performance, high-power, broadband RF microwave amplifiers that used by the Defense Department, in medical applications and for satellite communications systems and instrumentation.
The design, development, production, and marketing of systems, products, and servicse for advanced communication application is the primary mission of Comtech Telecommunications Corp. These products are used primarily when the communications infrastructure of a company or organization is inefficient, too expensive, or unavailable.
Its customer base includes both government and global communications markets in three areas: mobile data communications, RF microwave amplifiers, and telecommunications transmission.
