The New York State PeriAnesthesia Nurses Association (NYSPANA) will be holding a conference at the Hilton Long Island Melville.
Members of the NYSPANA will be gathering in June to hold an informative conference in honor of Christine Molinari. Attendees can learn about many industry-related concepts during the convention, including aromatherapy, emotional intelligence, and legal issues in nursing. The event will also have presentations about how nurses can reduce the risk of surgical site infections. Participants will be served a continental breakfast at 7:30 am, and a cold lunch later in the day.
The NYSPANA is an organization consisting of more than 800 members. The group has earned several awards since forming, like the ABPANC Shining Star Award, Gold Leaf Award, and Newsletter Award. Those who become members of the nursing association receive benefits such as a subscription to the JOPAN Journal of PeriAnesthesia and access to educational seminars. Annual membership rates for the organization start at $88 for active members.
The nursing conference will be held on Saturday, June 4 from 7:30 am to 2:20 pm and will cost members $85. Non-members can pay $100 to attend the convention. Those who register early can purchase their tickets for $75. People who are walk-ins must add $15 to their total admission cost. Annual conferences such as this can use brochure printing to create event programs for their attendees.
