The Marriott Melville Long Island will be hosting a summit for families in October, planned by education organizations.
The Family Leadership Summit is an event created by the Choice For All (CFA) Parent Action Coalition and the Long Island Regional Technical Assistance Center (LI-RTCA) for Pre-K & Early Childhood Education. The conference will have panels and workshops for parents that cover topics such as family engagement, developmental screenings, and mental wellness. There will also be networking sessions for parents, and group sessions and workshops will have simultaneous interpretation in Spanish.
The CFA is a group that benefits children by connecting them to beneficial resources in the community. The goal of the organization is to help all children on Long Island thrive. The Parent Action Coalition of Long Island is a group that assists parents with navigating the early childhood system and advocating for kids aged five and younger who have been expelled or suspended from school. More than 500 children and families are helped by the organization each year.
Local organizations that host summits like this may use brochure printing to provide their attendees with details about their events.
The leadership summit will be held on Saturday, October 28th from 8:30am to 3:30pm. There will be no charge for parents to attend the program, though a limited number of tickets are available for the event. All guests must register for the conference in advance.
