Melville to have boxing charity event

The 16th Annual Long Island Fight for Charity will be held this November at the Hilton Long Island in Melville.

Long Island Fight for Charity is a boxing event that consists of volunteer fighters from local businesses. The non-profit organization was created in 2002 by Jamie Austin, Jeff Cohen, and Matt Silver as a way of supporting the Long Island Community Chest charity.

They have raised over $1m and have enlisted the help of over 300 volunteer boxers since the group was originally formed. Organizations that hold fundraising festivals like this can use flyer printing to get the community interested in attending.

This year, there will be boxers representing businesses such as Empower Solar, Financial Force, and Long Island Business News. Multiple restaurants will be providing food and beverages for the charity event, including Trento and Banfi.

Now in its 16th year, the event will be held on Monday, November 25 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. General admission to the fundraiser will cost $135 per person, while VIP tickets can be bought for $250.

There are various sponsorship packages available for businesses that are interested in supporting the event, allowing companies to feature logos on Signs and website pages. Sponsorship sales will end on November 1. Direct donations can also be made on the event page online.
