Melville language institute to offer course on Russian

The JP Language Institute in Melville will give a course on Russian in December for those who want to understand the language.

Understand the Russian Language Workshop is an event where people who aren't familiar with Russian can learn the basics of the language. The workshop is designed for beginners and those who just want to brush up on their Russian knowledge. Participants will be taught the basics of Russian grammar and vocabulary and learn cultural facts about Russia. Students will get to take part in interactive sessions where they can practice speaking in groups, and there will also be practical applications of the language used in class.

The JP Language Institute is an educational facility that linguistic experts created to help provide language and cultural training to the community. There are many programs available at the school on topics like Greek, Latin, and Spanish. People who pass the courses at the institute with an 85 or higher can receive a certificate. The organization's program director is Sophia Pi, and the bilingual education program coordinator is Dr. Charles McGuire.

The Russian workshop will be held on December 9th. The program costs $25 per person, though people who are already students at the JP Language Institute can attend the class for free.
