A branch of the Astoria Bank recently opened its doors in Melville along Route 110, a commercial hub for the area.
The location is one quarter-mile south of the Long Island Expressway, providing easy access from the highway.
The branch is located in the T. Weiss’ Broadhollow Corporate Center, which is a single story building, 83,000 square feet in size. The bank is leasing 4,266 square feet in the building and joins other tenants that include Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Integrated Medical Professionals, and Bracco Diagnostics.
According to Monte Redman, President and CEO of Astoria Bank, having a branch in Melville (which is a major hub for businesses on Long Island), gives the bank great visibility. The new branch is part of the bank’s plan to expand its coverage in the greater New York metropolitan area.
Founder and CEO of T. Weiss Realty. Ted Weiss, commented that the decision by the bank to select the location on Route 110 reflects well on the convenience of the location.
Astoria Bank now has 87 locations, with the closest ones being on Huntington Station and Plainview. The bank will undoubtedly find brochure printers that can help it in printing Brochures with more information about the branch and the services the bank provides, which include residential mortgage and commercial real estate loans.
