Melville citizens can participate in a virtual gala this October to help raise funds for the United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island (UCP-LI) organization.
The Life Without Limits Gala is an online event where people can bid in a silent auction to benefit UCP-LI. Businesses can also participate in the fundraiser by becoming a virtual sponsor for the occasion. Packages range from $300 to $50,000, offering companies benefits such as featuring their symbol on the auction’s landing page, recognition in a newsletter, and showing a link to the organization’s site. Businesses that sponsor events like this can use Logo Design services to create symbols that can be readily displayed online.
The UCP-LI is a non-profit group that has been positively impacting those with disabilities for over 70 years, expanding their services to assist people with conditions like autism, down syndrome, and spina bifida. The organization’s mission is to provide employment, education, and a home for Long Islanders with disabilities. The UCP-LI organizes many fundraising events for their cause, like its virtual Handbag Bingo.
The charitable gala will begin on October 6 and will finish on October 29. The UCP-LI is hoping to raise at least $280,000 this year during the event and has already received more than $60,000 in donations. Those interested in the fundraiser can donate on the event page, though the silent auction will not begin until October 6.
