The Legal & Financial Planning Conference is an in-person experience where those in the early stages of Alzheimer's, their care partners, and other family members can learn about the common financial and legal issues that they have to think about following a diagnosis.
Complimentary respite care will be offered at the hotel by Home Companion Services. Some of the topics covered at the conference include asset protection, nursing home care, and guardianships.
The Alzheimer's Association Long Island Chapter is an organization that wants to assist families in Suffolk and Nassau counties who are impacted by Alzheimer's and other Forms of dementia. The group offers many helpful resources such as support groups, early-stage social activities, and educational programs. The association also has community forums where people can share their experiences with the condition. People can volunteer or donate to the organization to help it support local families.
The Legal & Financial Planning Conference will be on Saturday, April 6, from 9:00am to 12:30pm, at Hilton Long Island Huntington.
There is no cost for families to attend the event, though all guests must register for the convention. Associations that are in charge of similar programs may use brochure printing to give people detailed schedules of the events and links to online resources.Get a Free Quote for Forms
