The 'Holiday Cheer for Children' program was recently held by Henry Schein Inc.
This is an annual program in which participating children and their families are given games, toys, clothing and other gifts at various locations of the company throughout the country. The largest of the events was held at its headquarters in Melville.
This program is one of the endeavors of Henry Schein Cares, the company’s program of social responsibility, and company employees participated by sponsoring individual children. Gift Certificates to major supermarket chains were also presented to families in need. These children and families are identified by local social service organizations with which the company partners at its company locations.
According to the Residential Director of Bethany House, an organization that provides shelter to homeless women and children, this program brings much joy to children and their families during a season that can be difficult for those enduring financial difficulties.
Gerry Benjamin, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Henry Schein, added that members of Team Schein are generous and enthusiastic about the program, and the success of it demonstrates the commitment of the company to giving back to local communities.
The company may have used a local Print company to help print Flyers that it could distribute throughout it various locations to encourage participation from team members in this annual program.
