Benefit dinner prepared for Superstorm Sandy victims

Rebuilding Together Long Island (RTLI) is hosting a fundraising dinner to support SuperStorm Sandy survivors. Residents of Farmington, Melville, and surrounding areas are invited to partake in an evening of cocktails, a Chinese Auction, dinner, music and dancing. All are encouraged to join in the effort to assist victims in rebuilding their homes and lives.

RTLI is a non-profit volunteer organization that revamps, restores and rejuvenates the homes of elderly and disabled residents and low-income families with children. Over 275 volunteers offer their home modification, electrical, painting, carpentry, and plumbing expertise to facilitate safe and warm dwelling environs, thus affording families the chance to retain self-reliance and homeownership.

All of RTLI’s projects are supported by donations from individuals, charities, businesses, grants, and civic groups. RTLI’s roots go back to 1992, when two retired co-workers volunteering at Habitat for Humanity recognized the necessity for an organization that specializes in repairing the homes of disadvantaged Long Island residents. Through unwavering commitment, enthusiasm and funding, Rebuilding Together Long Island came into being and has plenty to boast of their promotional catalog printing to do with its achievements.
