Accounting foundation organizes Melville networking event

The Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE) will hold a networking activity in September at the Halston American Kitchen and Bar in Melville.

The 12th Annual Supersized Networking Event is a program where a diverse range of industry professionals can gather and improve their connections. The event is presented by the Suffolk & Nassau Chapter of the FAE. Many professionals are invited to the program, including attorneys, accountants, bankers, and local business owners. Guests will be treated to passed appetizers and a group dinner. The venue’s bar will be open throughout the networking experience.

The net proceeds of the activity will go to the Moynihan Scholarship Fund, a program that offers scholarships to local students who pursue accounting careers. The maximum amount students can receive from the fund is $2,500. Those who want to apply to the fund must submit a 400-word essay on their background and explain why they should receive the scholarship. Applicants must also provide letters of recommendation and email their student air reports to the FAE.

The supersized networking experience will be held on September 19th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. People who are interested in the event can pay $120 to attend. The program is open to members and non-members of the FAE. Attendees should reserve their spots in advance. Foundations that host similar networking activities may use poster printing services to advertise their events.
