The Friends of the Zoo will be hosting the zoo’s winter fundraiser when it presents its annual Snow Leopard Soiree later in January. This year’s gala will have a luau theme.
Animal greeters will meet the guests as they enter the venue.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception. A silent auction will take place during the reception.
A gourmet dinner will begin an hour and a half later, and dessert stations will be available afterwards. A live auction will follow the dinner. The rest of the evening will be dancing with live music provided.
Liverpool attendees may want to wear animal prints in their cocktail attire as this will be encouraged to go along with the luau theme. Black tie can be an option.
The fundraiser proceeds will benefit educational programs that the zoo has that connect the natural world to over 150,000 local adults and children.
The honorees for the event will be John Trimble and C&S companies. Pictures of these honorees will make good additions to the park’s visitor Brochures.
The event will be January 29th and held at the Rosa Gifford Zoo in Burnet Park, 1 Conservation Place, Syracuse. The cocktail reception will begin at 6:30 pm, and the dinner will start at 8:00 pm. Reservations are required. This event will be the highlight of the zoo’s Snow Leopard Days that runs from January 22nd to February 28th.
