More than 250 participants are expected to attend 6th Annual Stroll and Roll 5K Run/Walk in mid-May, hosted by Advocates, Central New York's largest non-profit serving those with disabilities.
This will be a family-friendly 5K race/walk around Liverpool’s Onondaga Lake Park to raise awareness and funds for Advocates. Trophies will be awarded to first, second, and third place finishers, and tickets include complimentary lunch and swag. Supporters and families may bid for items in the online auction.
In-person registration is $30 and can be arranged at the event's website. Registered racers will get a chance to win one of the six $25 VISA gift cards, and a $100 VISA gift card will go to the participant raising the most cash. Racers will get customized T-Shirts sporting this year's graphic design, along with medals, swag, water, snacks, and certificates of completion.
A craft show will have local artists and artisans displaying and selling their original creations.
Many crafters at events like this often bring Business Cards and use this time as a networking opportunity, and as a great way to get their Logo Design out to the public.
After-race festivities will include a meal with friends and family, complimentary chair massages, and free admission to a Zumba class. Mothers will receive a little gift.
Sponsorships are still available at the time of writing and include admission to the race, recognition on the event's social media, and company logo design on the race T-shirts.
The event will be Saturday, May 18 beginning at 10:00 am at Saw Mill Pavilion at Onondaga Lake Park.
