Liverpool classical music aficionados that typically go to Symphoria in Syracuse may be interested to know that the 2020-2021 season for the orchestra is holding live performances for those wishing to attend in person and is going online for those wishing to remain at home.
Masterworks: A Grand Overture, featuring Jon Nakamatsu, will be livestreamed on September 26th. This program will include Beethoven’s Leonore Overture No. 3, Piano Concerto No. 3, and his Symphony No. 7.
John Williams’ Greatest Hits will take place on October 3rd.
On October 24th, Symphoria will present Mendelssohn & Mozart. Pianist Sara Davis Buechner will be playing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 14. Overture in C Major by Fanny Mendelssohn and Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3 in A minor Op. 56 will also be on the program.
November performances will include a Smetana Brahms & Dvorak evening on the 7th and Beethoven’s Legacy on the 22nd.
Holiday Pops will end the year with a performance on December 18 at 7:30pm and December 19th at both 1:30pm and 7:30pm.
All performances, unless stated otherwise, will start at 7:30pm and usually run for two hours. Individual livestream tickets are $20 and family tickets are $35. In person tickets range from $29 to $90.
