Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce’s sub-committee, Liverpool is the Place, has announced the return of its Summer Concert Series with the regular season coming in early June.
This will be the series 37th season, and more than 400 people are expected to attend each concert.
A special pre-season concert will take place on Memorial Day from noon to 2:00 pm, with the band Off the Ground playing Americana music.
June bands will perform blues rock, jazz, rock and classic rock, and dance music. July guests will be treated to patriotic tunes, pop and rock, R&B, jazz, oldies, classic and folk rock, folk, and Americana. August programs will end the season with folk and classic rock, country, orchestral standards, swing, and oldies.
Liverpool is the Place (LITP) was organized to raise funds for, and bring cultural events to, the community. It not only runs this concert series but brings concerts to the local library.
Local businesses that support community events such as this get advertising exposure by having either their business name or Logo Design (or both) on the event’s website, and in other promotional material as well.
All beginning at 7:00 pm, Liverpool is the Place Concert Series will be free and at Johnson Park, Tulip and Second Street, every Monday and Wednesday from June 5 through August 16. The concerts will end at 9:00 pm.
