Residents to flock to New York fair
In a couple of weeks, Liverpool locals can enjoy a popular fair that a million people are expected to attend.
The 'Great New York State Fair' will offer food, exhibits, and two different concert series.
At a special adventure zone, there will be a petting zoo with wild cats, kangaroos, and other animals. Attendees can also check out the live cow birthing center, the Monarch butterfly garden, or a fun sea lion show.
Food-lovers can enjoy fried delights, sausage sandwiches, loaded baked potatoes, and other treats. There will also be culinary competitions, food trucks, and a Taste NY tent.
Each day, except for Labor Day, there will be a parade with marching bands and costumed characters. The parade will take place at 6:00 pm each evening.
Some of the other fair highlights include carnival rides, the historic train exhibit, and the 2015 Miss New York State Fair competition.
A large event such as this was likely widely publicized with flyers and posters. Additionally, banner printing is sure to have been used to create large signs to welcome guests to the event.
General admission costs $10 at the gate. Through August 26, one-day advance ticket sales are available for $6 each. For $30, guests can purchase a 'frequent fairgoer pass' good for six days.
The fair will take place from August 27 until September 7, and is located on 581 State Fair Boulevard in Syracuse.
