October weekends at zoo reserved for spooks

Many Liverpool families with little ones will be heading over to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo at least one weekend in October to experience its traditional annual Zoo Boo, a non-spooky Halloween festival.

Attendees will be given reusable treat Bags to receive goodies from 10 treat stations scattered around the venue, and maps to help them find them.

Other Halloween-themed activities will include keeper talks, games, crafts, pop-up dance parties, entertainment, and encounters with some of the zoo’s creepy-crawly animals. Everyone is encouraged to be in their Halloween finest and take advantage of the photo opportunities available in the park.

Halloween-type businesses will have exhibit space to display and sell their merchandise. Vendors that frequent holiday-themed events like this often get special Business Cards printed with the colors (in this case orange and black) and symbols (cats, witches) of the holiday printed on them.

All sponsors will get their logo designs on the zoo’s website and many sponsors will also get them on various signage, Posters, programs, and designated media posts.

Tickets are $7 for presale tickets, $8 for event day, $8 for non-member presale, and $9 on event day.

Zoo Boo will take place on three October weekends, starting on October 15 and ending on October 30. Rosamond Gifford Zoo is located at 1 Conservation Place in Syracuse.
