Locals in Syracuse, and nearby Liverpool, can express their thanks to veterans and soldiers at the 8th Annual Central New York (CNY) Veterans Parade and Expo.
The parade runs over 90 minutes and features military vehicles, music, local armed forces units, and more. During this event, Banners will likely be used.
Other highlights include the ‘Breakfast for the Brave’ that will take place from 8:30 am until 11:00 am or until the food runs out. Proceeds from this event will help the organization Clear Path for Veterans.
Those who want to get some exercise can take part in the CNY Warrior Fitness Challenge which involves physical feats such as sprinting and crawling. Registration costs $15 for individuals or $40 for teams of three.
The expo will have booths with a military theme including uniforms from Vietnam and interactive exhibits. There will also be a kid’s area where children can see magicians, have their faces painted, and take part in games. Furthermore, veterans can look for employment at the expo’s Show Your Stripes Job Fair. Admission to the expo is free.
The expo will be held from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm and the parade will begin at noon.
