For 27 years, Liverpool has been celebrating the holiday season by enjoying Wegman’s Lights on the Lake. This year, the holiday attraction will be opening in a matter of weeks.
This is a two-mile drive that offers visitors a view of towering displays, and a trip through a larger-than-life Land of Oz and a forest of twinkling lights. There are colorful section arches, a Victorian village, animated scenes, and a fairytale grand finale.
This year, the attraction has added a Loch Ness Monster that stretches 92 feet, an arch that depicts a soldier holding a cannon ball, and animated tunnel arches. Trees will be dripping with lights.
Personalized 3’ by 5’ message Banners can be spotlighted for one night on the lake. These are then given to the purchaser.
Before the season’s grand opening, early birds can take a ‘Lights on the Lake Stroll’. The night after that, dog lovers can bring their pooches for a ‘Lights on the Lake Dog Walk’. The night of the attraction’s season opening, the venue will offer a ‘Salute to Troops Night’.
The season will open Wednesday, November 16, and run nightly from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Onondaga Lake Park here in Liverpool. The attraction will be open until January 8th, 2017.
