Film buffs in and around Liverpool can attend several events dealing with the animation and cinema industry.
The Syracuse International Film Festival is hosting ‘Spring Fest 2015’, where residents have the chance to see locally produced indie films, including shorts and documentaries. During the event, attendees can also chat with filmmakers.
A one-day pass to the festival costs $20, while a two-day pass is available for $30. It’s likely Stationery printers have been busy making tickets for the event.
To launch the festival, there will be a special event at the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology (MOST). There, Pixar’s director of post production and marketing, Cynthia Slavens, will talk about her job. Tickets to the special kick-off event are $10, while kids under 12 are free with a paying adult.
Prior to the presentation, there will be a meet and greet with Slavens. The welcome reception costs $125 and interested individuals need to call 315-445-0692 to make a reservation.
The welcome reception will begin at 6:00pm on April 24 and Slavens’ presentation will start at 7:30pm. Both of these events will be at MOST, located on 500 South Franklin Street.
