With the Super Run coming up fast, many Liverpool folks are likely to have their training program well underway. The run is to raise awareness and money for local charities.
The Super Run will be 5-K Heroes vs Villains run. Participants don their favorite superhero or supervillain costumes, and will receive green, orange, yellow, black, red, or blue villain or hero capes when they pick up their race packets. Other Promotional Products such as superhero fitness shirts, boots, hats, water bottles, and tees can be found online.
Items, other than the capes, in the Superhero swags will be custom bibs and finishers’ medals.
The first thing on race day will be registration, and then fun will start. There will be bounce houses and activities for the children. Individual runners will start their event at the same time as the Team runners will start theirs. The event should end sometime before noon.
Charities that will benefit from this event will be American Association for Cancer Research Foundation, Cure Search for Children’s Cancer, Fleece, and Superfly Children’s Foundation.
The run will be May 6 in Onondaga Lake Park at Long Branch Park, 3813 Long Branch Road, Liverpool. It will begin at 8:00 am and end around 11:00 am. Sidekick Runners – those runners ages 5 and under – can register free of charge.
