Liverpools remembrance 5K honors loved ones

The 15th Annual Remembrance 5K Run or Walk for HOPE will take place this August in Liverpool.

It will bring community members together to honor individuals who have died while raising funds for HOPE for Bereaved, a nonprofit organization offering grief support services in Central New York.

The event includes a professionally timed 5K run and walk beginning at 9 am for $33.15. Pricing will go up after May 31 and again on race day, with registration rising to $50. A non-timed kids’ fun run for children 12 and younger is free and begins at 10:15 am. A virtual participation option is also available for $33.15. Registration is exclusively online; paper and cash are not accepted.

Participants are encouraged to bring photos of deceased loved ones to be shown on a public memorial board during the event. Those donating over $100 may submit a name to be printed in the commemorative section on the event t-shirt. To receive a shirt, registration must be completed by July 11.

Packet pickup will be held on July 30th from 4 pm to 7 pm at the HOPE for Bereaved’s office in Syracuse.

Poster printing may be used by organizers to highlight the different races for events such as this one.

The event will be held at Long Branch Park, 3813 Long Branch Road, Liverpool, New York, on Saturday, August 2nd. Additional details can be found at the Run Sign Up Listing.
