With just a five-mile ride, everyone in Liverpool will be able to eat their hearts out at the Taste of Syracuse event coming up very soon.
This year will mark the 20 anniversary of the event. As in the past, the area’s restaurants will be distributing food samples for $1 each. Military members will be able to get a two-for-one deal at many of the participating places on Saturday.
Types of food that will be available will run from gourmet egg rolls, donuts, and authentic Greek cuisine to European sweets, BBQ, almonds, waffles and kettle corn. Along with the 70 plus restaurants, shops and eateries that will be participating, the event will also feature over 35 exhibitors, no doubt armed with custom Business Cards. Some of these will include 5-Hour Energy, Dunn Tire, Delta Air Lines, Exotic Eyewear, GEICO, Syracuse Athletics, and United Health Care.
More than 20 acts will provide live entertainment on three stages. The first evening’s main performance will be a tribute to Michael Jackson called ‘Off The Wall’. Cheap Trick, who will be playing on the Main Stage on the last night, will be on stage for two hours.
It all takes place this Friday and Saturday, June 3 and 4. The event will be held in and around Clinton Square, 98 Salina Street in Syracuse and will run from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm on both days.
