Liverpool runs for Habitat for Humanity

Many Liverpool fitness enthusiasts will be running or walking in the Home Run for Habitat 5k Run/Walk coming in mid-July.

Pre-registration for the 5k will be $25, or $10 for a 1-Mile Family Fun Run, and can be completed on the Syracuse Habitat for Humanity’s Facebook page. Pre-registration will end at 2:00 pm on July 17. Registration for the 5k will go up to $30 on race day. First 250 registrants will receive free T-Shirts sporting the event’s graphic design.

Prizes will go to the overall women and men winners in the 5k.

This will be an untimed event for the 1-Mile Family Fun Run. Families that often participate in running events such as this occasionally have local Print shops make colorful family T-shirts with either a graphic design or a family Logo Design on them. Then family members can all wear identifiable shirts during the race.

For those that would rather donate instead of running, donations can be made at the event website. The goal for donations this year is $5,000.

All proceeds will go to Syracuse Habitat for Humanity - a volunteer organization that constructs affordable new homes in and around Syracuse.

The Home Run for Habitat 5k Run/Walk and 1-Mile Family Fun Run will take place Sunday, July 19 at Onondaga Lake Park in its Bayview Shelter, 106 Lake Drive, Liverpool. The 1-Mile Family Fun Run begins at 8:15 am, and the main race will start at 9:00 am.
