Two kickball events will be taking place in the Liverpool area in the coming months.
Down the road in Cicero, the 10th Annual Taylor Fleming Memorial Kickball Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, August 1 at Cicero Central Park, 6540 Route 31. Proceeds from this event will go to the Taylor Fleming scholarship fund. Rosters will be limited to 15 players over eight years old and no more than five adult males can be in the kicking order.
In Bob Hare’s Memorial Kickball Tournament, 10-person teams composed of seven men and three women ages 14 and up can register for $30 per person. The winning team will receive a trophy. There will be a 50/50 raffle and prizes. Coffee and donuts will be available during the morning and Avicollis Pizza will be offered for lunch.
Those registering before September 10 are guaranteed T-Shirts sporting this year’s tournament Logo Design. The format will be double elimination, and there will be a blind draw division and a recreational division. Many players will be glad to know that bunting is now allowed.
The Bob Hare’s Memorial Kickball Tournament will take place at the Syracuse Kickball Park, 7192 Oswego Road on Saturday, September 18 starting at 10:00 am. Registration will begin at 9:30 am. The rain date will be the following Saturday, September 25.
