Liverpool loves bacon festival

Liverpoolites that love bacon may wish to wander over to the third annual Syracuse Bacon Festival, which will be coming in a few days. Admission will be free, and over 11,000 people are expected to attend.

Guests can look forward to treats such as bacon milkshakes and bacon macaroni and cheese. Bake Potato Express will offer its potatoes with cheese, scallions, and bacon. Glazed and Confused will present its Dizzy, Disco and Chilly pigs.

Over 25 bacon-themed vendors – such as Big Awesome BBQ, Bespoke Bacon, Bacon Bomb and Jerky Hut – along with 10 or more non-bacon themed vendors like Verizon, Gutter Logic and Air National Guard will be on site selling their products, goods and services.

Live music entertainment on the Syracuse Bacon Festival Stage will include Chasey Chase, a five-year-old rapper, starting at 2:05 pm and radio stations KROCK’s 90’s Jam Session with Josh, Sunny 102, and Classic Rock TK99’s 80’s Rock Tribute with Rick on TK. Other acts will be Country Swagg from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm, and the headliner for the evening will be The Old Main, starting at 6:30 pm.

Syracuse Bacon Festival will take place at the Clinton Square Ice Rink, 2 S Clinton Street, Syracuse from noon until 9:00 pm next Saturday, August 17.
