Many here in Liverpool will be celebrating winter by attending the 4th annual Syracuse Winter Fair, coming in early February. This year’s theme will be “Making Memories.”
The Expo Center will feature crafters, entertainment, carnival games, and rides. Local businesses will be showcasing their products and services, no doubt bringing Business Cards with them.
The Mini-Midway will include a giant slide and fun house. Food vendors will be selling such fare as pizza, Greek cuisine, BBQ, baked potatoes, donuts, Spanish cuisine, chicken tenders, and French fries. Ashley Lyn will sell wine slushies, and other available drinks will be hot chocolate, coffee, lemonade, wine, and beer.
Music entertainment will include Beatles tribute Paul Davie, blues/rock group The Ripcords, Brass Inc., 5 to Life, and the Brownskin. Other performances will be Latin and Six Nations Native American dancing, martial arts demonstrations, and a fashion show.
Walls of the Expo will be lined with ice sculptures. Charities will manage the coat check (in the form of the NAACP), exhibits (The Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Fund), and basketball hoops (Boys and Girls Club of Syracuse).
Admission at the door will be $7 for adults and $5 for teens. Admission after 7:00 pm will be free.
The Syracuse Winter Fair will be at the New York State Fairgrounds next Friday, February 3 from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and then on Saturday, February 4 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm and Sunday, February 5 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
