Over a million people will be attending the 173rd New York State Fair. The 13-day event will feature traditional animals, commercial exhibits, midway games and rides and well-known entertainers.
Over 50 attractions will include an antique tractor display, carriage and agricultural museums, and art and craft exhibitions. The Wegmans Art and Home Center will offer a demonstration kitchen and the Empire Theater old silent film screenings. There will be Birds of Prey shows, butter, cheese and sand sculptures, a dairy cow live birthing center and a milking parlor.
Along with culinary, livestock, agricultural, and the Taste NY Food Truck competition, guests can experience the fleece competition and a fleece-to-shawl contest in the Wool Center. Special days will be Pride, Family Fishing, Dairy, Beef and Armed Forces Days.
The Coronas Circus will have three performances and three Hollywood Racing Pigs daily. The Giraffic Menagerie Petting Zoo will be open from 10am-10pm daily also.
Wade Shows Midway will have over 20 rides such as the Zombie Apocalypse, Zero Gravity and Starship 4000. A KiddieLand Midway will be located between the New York Experience Festival grounds and the main midway.
Liverpool fans of the 27 entertainers in the Chevy Court Concerts will want to check with them for Promotional Products. Some of these will be Smokey Robinson, Blondie, Hanson, and ZZ Top.
The fair will run from August 22nd through September 3rd at the New York State Fairgrounds, 581 State Fair Boulevard, Syracuse.
