Liverpool goes to Scranton for Holidays in the City

Downtown Syracuse will be celebrating the holiday season with its annual Holiday in the City coming in early December.

Hanover Square will feature live reindeer, and the Erie Canal Museum will present its annual Gingerbread Exhibit. This year, over 30 edible creations will be on display. Attendees often take photos of exhibits like these to take to local Stationery printers to be made into seasonal notecards.

A panel of professors, historians and scholars will be discussing the experiences of Native Americans the American Revolution’s Sullivan Clinton Campaign at Onondaga Historical Association at 321 Montgomery Street.

Santa Saturday and Everson Festival of Trees will take place in the afternoon at the Everson Museum of Art. Over 100 holiday displays, wreaths and decorated trees will be on display. Holiday music and dance will be in the Hosmer Auditorium and the Rosamond Gifford Sculpture Court. Santa will be available for visits and little Liverpool guests can also create seasonal crafts, get milk and eat cookies.

A special performance of Dasher’s Magical Gift will be playing at the Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theatre, 411 Montgomery Street, starting at 11:00 am.

Holidays in the City will be December 7 in Downtown Syracuse. Free Holiday Trolley service will run from noon until 5:00 pm. Starting at 10:00, am there will be ice skating in Clinton Square.
