Liverpool’s amateur photographers may want to look into an upcoming Adobe Photoshop introduction class.
The session is presented by Light Work, a non-profit organization in Syracuse that supports photography artists with exhibitions, publications, lab facilities, and residencies. The class will be presented on four Mondays in the coming weeks.
The class instructor will be Granville Carroll, a visual artist and educator who works with digital compositing, photography, and photo-manipulation. His work has been exhibited nationally and he has been featured in many photography magazines such as Humble Arts Foundation, Lenscratch, and Photo-Emphasis.
Carroll will discuss importing images, making density and color corrections, basic retouching, and masking. These tools will help the Photoshop user feel more confident as they explore more of the program on their own.
Registration will be $110 for members of Light Work and $150 per non-member.
The Intro to Adobe Photoshop will held over Zoom and the link will be e-mailed to participants a few days before the class begins. Participants must have a recent version of Photoshop.
Many Photoshop users like to send their final images to nearby Stationery printers to have custom notecards or Holiday Cards made.
The Intro Photoshop Four Week Class will start on Monday, October 26 and continue on November 2, 9, and 16. Classes will run from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm EDT.
