Liverpool dons masks for good cause

The Good Life Youth Foundation is hosting its 3rd Annual ‘Good Times for Good Life’ Masquerade Gala coming in mid-October.

The evening will be replete with dinner, a performance by the Brown Skin Band, and a special DJ guest GEDA, who will emcee the dancing part of the evening.

Individual tickets will be $100 and tables of 10 will be $1,000. Businesses and associations from in and around Liverpool are donating Promotional Products, gift cards, and other items for the silent auction.

Proceeds from the dinner and auction will go to the Good Life Foundation, which provides programs and services to help local at-risk youth learn life strategies and skills to go on to productive careers. Two current projects are the Escape Your Reality Trip, which take local young people to DC and the Hip-Hop Center for Youth Entrepreneurship. Programs include Get R.E.A.L a one-year program connecting at-risk teens to resources focusing on growth, sustainability, accountability and success. Other offerings are R.E.A.L Life, where teens are guided through daily obstacles, and L.I.F.T., which is a mentoring program using teen culture and music to help young people learn financial and entrepreneurial skills.

The 3rd Annual Masquerade Gala will be Friday, October 19 at the SKY Armory at 351 S. Clinton Street, Syracuse from 6:00 pm until 11:00. RSVP and cocktail dress are required. The silent auction and cocktails will start at 6:00 pm with the dinner following at 7:30 pm.
