Liverpool continues 30 years of free summer concerts

The 2018 Liverpool is the Place Concert Series is in full swing. Concerts take place every Monday and Wednesday evening throughout June, July and August.

The series has begun with student ensembles in the Liverpool Central School District Jazz Fes,t and classic rock and originals from Salt City Chill the first week of June.

Upcoming Mondays in June will feature Grit’N Grace, a country rock band, the Neverly Bros playing tunes from the ‘50s and ‘60s, and Letizia & the Z Band belting out disco and classic rock.

Entertainment on Wednesdays in June will kick off with the Liverpool Community Chorus, followed by a swing band Easy Money Big Band, and ending with oldies and classic rock by the Coachmen.

The first Monday concert in July will feature patriotic tunes by the Liverpool Community Concert Band followed by the rock groups Mood Swing, Matt Chase & Thunder Canyon, Dave Novak’s Party Nuts, and ending with Skip Murphy’s Merry Pranksters.

Wednesdays’ performances will include Fate playing classic rock, Mickey Vendetti’s Good Time Band offering oldies, TrumpTight315 with R&B/Soul, and finally Mid-Life Crisis playing classic rock.

July sponsors at the $1,000 level are sure to be getting their banner printing done soon so the Banners can be placed behind the performers on stage.

The 30th Anniversary LIverpool is the Place Summer Concert Series is now in progress until the end of August at Johnson Park on Vine Street in Liverpool.
