Liverpool can run and eat

This will be the second year for the International Taste Festival 5k/10k, and subsequently the International Taste Festival. Both will take place on the same day in early April.

Registration for both the in-person and virtual 5k is $45, and for the in-person and virtual 10k is $55. Runners can opt to register for free by raising funds for David’s Refuge, an organization that supports caregivers who work with special needs children.

Race swag and amenities will include long-sleeve tech shirts sporting the International Taste Festival graphic design, entry to the race and festival, custom running bibs, finisher medals, free parking, hydration stations, and medical support on the course.

The 10k will begin at 10:15 am while the 5k will begin shortly after at 10:30 am. Both will start and end at the Center of Progress Building. Part of the runs will take place on paved NYS Empire Trail and the rest will be inside the fairgrounds.

Over $2,000 in Dick's Sporting Goods certificates will be awarded to female and male overall winners in both races, and the top three placed female and male winners in each of the age groups.

Liverpool runners are invited to stay for the festival, which will have American, Asian, Middle Eastern, Pan-African, and European cuisine and cultural performances.

The race and festival will be April 1, and the festival will take place from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm at the NYS Fairgrounds, 581 State Fair Boulevard, Syracuse.
