The Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce has posted three charity events coming to the Liverpool area in May.
Hats and Horses will be a Kentucky Derby-themed Tea to raise funds for Baldwinsville Meal on Wheels. Derby specialties will be part of the light fare, and entertainment will include music by Harmony Katz, a Derby hat contest, and virtual races for non-cash prizes. Guests can purchase tickets for the 50/50 and basket raffles. Tickets are $12 now that the $10 early bird offer has passed.
The Hats and Horses fundraiser will take place Saturday, May 6 from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm at 76 Canton Street, Baldwinsville.
Advocates 5th Annual Stroll and Roll 5k will offer live entertainment, games, and food, along with the 5k itself. Tickets are $30 per entry and kids under five years old will be free. A free lunch consisting of hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, and water will be available after the race. Each racer will get a gift. An online auction with items such as Gift Certificates, sports packages, and restaurant gift cards will lead up to race day.
Advocates Stroll and Roll 5k will benefit those with disabilities and is taking place at Willow Bay on Sunday, May 7 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Bowl-A-Thon for the CanTeen will be held Thursday, May 11 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Flamingo Bowl, 7239 Oswego Road.
Groups that attend charity events like these often have colorful shirts printed with some whacky graphic or Logo Design.
