Those who love a cappella music, especially the barbershop kind, will want to mark their Calendars for Harmonic Collective, who will be giving an encore performance at the end of the year.
The singing ensemble is a Central New York young men's cappella group. The event will be free to attend.
Harmonic Collective is a chorus home where 30 young men learn to sing barbershop harmonies, as well as other Forms of a cappella.
The evening will be part of the Liverpool Public Library’s Concert Series, which will include the 2nd place winners of the BHS Midwinter Youth Quartet – Game of Tones Quartet. The YWIH 5th Place Rising Star Medalists, Resonance Quartet, a women’s barbershop-style quartet, will also be on the program. Guests will want to be ready to join in a singalong.
The Harmonic Collective and Resonance have been featured in the Spirit of Syracuse Chorus newly released holiday CD titled ‘Holiday Spirit’. Harmonic Collective and the Spirit of Syracuse sing ‘All Rise’ on the record.
The Collective, along with the other choruses, will perform at the Liverpool Public Library 310 Tulip Street here in town on Thursday, December 29. The performance will begin at 7:00 pm and end at 8:30 pm. Although the event will be free, the Collective would appreciate any donations to help fund its trip to the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Youth Chorus Festival in Reno, Nevada in January.
