Liverpool Halloween enthusiasts will be heading for Syracuse for Fright Nights during October, while little ones and their families will be going to see the animals at Zoo Boo.
The new Devil’s Dungeon at Fright Nights will be a fiendish labyrinth through torture chambers and experimental rooms. Jurassic Dark will be a prehistoric adventure with full-sized raptors and other dinosaurs. Burgen Manor will take guests through corridors and a torture chamber. Killer clowns await those daring to navigate Penny’s Playhouse’s IT-inspired maze. A full-sized ship, the Lady Lamson’s Cursed Voyage will use 3-D technology to create creaking boards, hovering spirits, and eerie voices.
Tickets will be available for $30. Fright Nights will be open every October weekend on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 pm to midnight, and Sundays from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at 1 Lepage Place, Syracuse.
For those who want to keep their heartrate down a little, Zoo Boo, a daytime “kooky-not-spooky” Halloween celebration at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, will delight children with trick-or-treat stations, activities, games, photo ops, keeper chats, and encounters with creepy crawlies. Visitors may take Spooky Strolls on the foggy decorated Wildlife Trail. Guests are invited to bring treat Bags and dress in Halloween attire to take part in a costume parade.
Families dressed in their Halloween finest at events such as this often take pictures from the photo opportunities to local Stationery printers to be made into Halloween cards.
Zoo Boo will take place on October Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at 1 Conservation Place, Syracuse.
