Liverpool locals looking for a sensitive movie to share with family or friends will have an opportunity to watch ‘The Intern’ next week at the local library.
The feelgood film stars Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway, and Renee Russo as people who become attached and involved in one another’s lives.
The story begins as recent widower and retired executive Ben Signs up for an internship with a seniors program at an ecommerce fashion company run by founder and CEO Jules. The initially frosty relationship warms over the course of the movie as Ben and Jules get to know one another, and flourishes during times of minor crises. Eventually, Ben begins a romance with Fiona, a massage therapist that works at the same company, and she too grows closer with Jules. The movie hits on themes of loyalty and emotional strength, as well as the value of both love and friendship.
Those planning to attend may want to have flyer printing done to help publicize the showing of the movie, since the more that show up, the more active the discussion afterwards should be.
The movie will be shown Tuesday, January 26 at 1:30 pm and Thursday, January 28 at 6:30 pm in the Carman Community Room at the Liverpool Public Library, 310 Tulip St, Liverpool. There will be no cost to attend.Get a Free Quote for Signs
